The KipKeino IOC High Performance Training Centre is an elite hub for middle and long‑distance excellence, located just outside Eldoret – 350 km west of Nairobi.
An elite centre for learning and sports excellence – Opened in 2002 and located on several hundred acres of farmland owned by Kipchoge Keino, the centre is listed as a High Performance Training Center by the IAAF and focuses on developing middle and long distance track champions.
Our team, along with local coordinators, are on hand to guide you. They'll take you on a tour of the training roads and act as your guides throughout your stay. Trainees have complete freedom; sessions (track, fartlek, long runs) are often done together using matatu transport, but you can also run alone or with local athletes.
The centre also hosts refugee athlete scholarship holders and national teams, creating a unique, supportive environment. No Human is Limited.
Most athletes follow this rhythm: intense Tuesdays & Thursdays, long run on the weekend, easy jogging in between.
